Today (Dec 17), the US House of Represenatives passed a spending bill to fund the federal government through the end of FY20 (ending 9/30/19). In this budget deal, the National Endowment for the Arts received a $7.25 million increase, from $155 million to $162.25 million – the largest single increase in a decade. (The National Endowment for the Humanities received the same increase.)
The budget deal now heads to the Senate where it is expected to pass, unchanged, in a few days before heading to the President’s desk for his expected signature.
