Here’s a breakdown of the 2020 General Election results
Federal Level:
Incumbent Lindsey Graham defeated Jaime Harrison in the race for a US Senate seat.
The State of South Carolina has 7 seats in the US House of Representatives. 6 of the 7 incumbents won their races and will serve another term. Republican Nancy Mace defeated incumbent Joe Cunningham in the first district of South Carolina. The defeat made Cunningham a one-term Congressman, and returned the 1st District to a Republican-held seat, as it had been for many years prior to Cunningham’s 2018 victory.

Sixty-five (65) of the 124 seats were unopposed and three (3) of those unopposed seats will be a new face in the House

There was a potential for 13 – 70 new faces to take up seats in the House, 15 new faces were elected.

2 seats flipped from Democratic to Republican: Sandy McGarry defeated Mandy Powers Norrell in Lancaster and Vic Dabney defeated Laurie Slade Funderburk in Kershaw.
