Mark your calendars: February 15-19, 2021 is Arts Advocacy Week in South Carolina. This year, all advocacy activities will take place virtually due to COVID-19. The South Carolina Arts Alliance is working hard to bring you free content all week long. This year’s virtual event will feature presentations on advocacy, arts education, student artist performances, federal arts advocacy updates, a gallery tour, and more!
What To Expect
The SCAA will bring you daily content focused on strengthening your advocacy skills, showcasing various artists, and some fun bonus content as well. Here’s a sample of what’s in the works:

Advocacy 101 and 201 trainings, including one specifically for teachers.

Arts education highlights from around the state (shoutout to the ABC Institute).

Legislative town hall.

Daily emails with more “how-tos” and advocacy tools.

The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston will be giving a virtual gallery tour.

Student Performances will be highlighted from student artists across the state.
