The SC Arts Alliance today (May 26) released its Arts Reopening Guide for arts venues and organizations in response to COVID-19. The Guide provides a number of guiding questions to help arts leaders make informed decisions around when and how to reopen their doors to their staff, artists, and the public again.
The SCAA invited over 80 arts professionals across the state to provide input and to review the Guide prior to its release. A copy of this guide was also sent to AccelerateSC before being released. While not an exhaustive reopening guide, the document is meant to help leaders proactively consider components of their operations before making a final decision on reopening.
Every arts venue is unique in its form, function, and operation. As such, this document does not provide specific and itemized guidance by discipline so that it can be used across the industry more effectively. However, at the end of this document, we have provided a list of additional resources which can help you further identify specific operational adjustments
The Guide does not imply or require a reopening date, nor does it create a requirement for any operational adjustments.
