Latesha Smith

Latesha F. Smith is a current MPA candidate in Arts Management at the College of Charleston and a proud fellow with SC Arts Alliance. She relocated from Washington, DC to Charleston, SC to fulfill the roles of Community Engagement Coordinator with Spoleto Festival USA and Creative Catalyst Fellow with the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts at UNCSA. In these roles, Latesha produced outreach programs and events focused on a newly commissioned opera about Omar Ibn Said and the community at large. Prior to her relocation she worked as a special event entrepreneur and professional, planning and managing events at NPR’s WAMU 88.5 and Smithsonian Center for Folklife & Cultural Heritage. After graduating from Williams College with a BA in History, she worked with Meridian International Center and developed a love for international exchange programs and special events. In 2016 she co-founded the Nakiso Curl Fest in Johannesburg, South Africa that celebrated natural hair textures and placed female entrepreneurs at the forefront.

Sandrina Preudhomme

As an artist, teacher and graduate student I am excited to share my skill set with the South Carolina Arts Alliance. My values are centered around educating the community through arts programs. My professional experiences range from working in restart schools, high performing magnet schools, midrange institutions and online platforms. Volunteering for The City Arts Council, Anytown and non-profit arts organizations are experiences that enriched my life. This opportunity will be life changing. Exploring new careers associated with advocacy, arts programs and community building will lead me to new opportunities. I am excited to collaborate with everyone during this apprenticeship. Most importantly, I am eager to become an arts administrator and powerful voice for arts organizations.
